The Government of India grant under 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation' was utilized for the construction of school buildings with other facilities at Shree Bhadgaun Sinuwari Secondary School and Shree Bhagawati Secondary School. These projects were undertaken as High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDP) under an agreement between the Government of India and the Government of Nepal. The projects were implemented through the District Coordination Committee, Sunsari, the statement added.

The Chief of the District Coordination Committee, the Mayors of Ramdhuni and Inaruwa Municipalities, and the Chairpersons of the School Management Committee appreciated the continued developmental support of the Government of India in priority sectors.

The new facilities will enhance the educational environment for students at Shree Bhadgaun Sinuwari Secondary School and Shree Bhagawati Secondary School, contributing to educational development in the region, according to the embassy.

"Since 2003, the Government of India has undertaken over 551 HICDPs in Nepal across various sectors, completing 490 projects. Among these, 85 projects are in Koshi Province, including 12 in Sunsari. Additionally, the Government of India has gifted 1009 ambulances and 300 school buses to various institutions in Nepal, with 146 ambulances and 48 school buses provided in Koshi Province, including 24 ambulances and 11 school buses in Sunsari District," the statement said.

As close neighbors, India and Nepal share extensive and multi-sectoral cooperation.
