KALIKOT: Two boys were killed when a solar battery exploded in Mehalmudi VDC-2 of Kalikot on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Sanesha Nath (14), son of Padam Nath Yogi and Man Nath (15), son of Hari Nath Yogi, a local resident Nirmala Shahi said. Both of them died on the spot, she added.

The boys were students of Panchdewal Higher Secondary School.

She said that the battery exploded all of a sudden when the boys were trying to charge their cell phones.
