Two thefts in a house in two weeks

Kathmandu, January 21:

Two thefts took place in the house owned by Prashanta Gurung at Maligaon within a period of two weeks, the police said today.

According to the police, a group of two persons armed with iron rods stole a video cassette player, an audio cassette player and records from Gurung’s house early this morning. On January 6, two men had stolen property worth Rs 100,000 from the same house when the family members were mourning the death of Ananda Gurung, father of Prashanta, the then principal of Brihaspati Bidhya Sadan.

The thieves had entered the house through a window and had taken out a digital camera, clothes and other goods amounting to Rs 100,000 from the third floor of the building.

Prashanta said he was fearing that the group might murder his family members because the two are repeatedly stealing things from his house.
