Two-wheelers banned from plying in Bardiya National Park area at night
DHANGADHI: Following the death of a woman in a tiger attack along the East-West Highway inside the Bardia National Park area, local authorities have banned people in two-wheeler from plying the highway section inside the park at night from Sunday.
To reduce the possible risk of animal-attack, motorcycle, cycles and pedestrians have been forbidden from travelling on the Amreni-Karnali Chisapani road section from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, informed Bardiya National Park.
The park has also urged the people to remain alert as the tiger activities in the highway has increased in recent times.
A 50-year-old woman of Kauapur in Lamkichuha Municipality-7 of Kailali had died after she was attacked by a tiger, on Friday. She and her son were travelling in a motorcycle to their home in Kohalpur, when they were attacked by the wildcat.
