PHIDIM: Unified CPN-Maoist treasurer Haribol Gajurel on Sunday argued that promulgation of the new constitution was possible now as his party was rectifying its past mistakes. Speaking at a press meet in Phidim, Gajurel said it was due to weakness of the Maoist party that the first CA had failed to deliver the statute. “As the party has learnt from the past error, it is possible to issued the constitution now,” he said. Hinting at the 16-point agreement between the four major forces, he said that his party was not satisfied with federalism and inclusion. However, they signed the agreement, as it was the need of the hour. He pledged to move ahead by taking everyone aboard.

Car hit kills woman

JHAPA: An elderly woman was killed after she was hit by an Indian car at a place near Ninda khola along the East-West Highway in Mechi Nagar Municipality on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Malati Lungeli Thakuri, 72. The Indian car en route to Kakarbhitta from Dhulabari had hit the woman while she was walking down the road. Police have arrested the car driver and seized the car.
