DHADING: An unidentified gang on Saturday night attacked UCPN- Maoist Dhading District Committee member Kariman Tamang with a khukuri.

Tamang, a premanent resident of Sertung VDC in the district, was critically injured in the attack.

Tamang was airlifted to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for treatment by a helicopter on Sunday morning.

Issuing a statement, district party Chairman Ram Bhadur Bhandari, said that the culprits should be booked at the earliest.
