UDMF activists, cops clash in Janakpur
Janakpurdham, February 3
A minor clash broke out between police personnel and United Democratic Madhesi Front in Janakpur today.
The clash ensued when police personnel tried to stop UDMF cadres from greeting Nepali Congress former general secretary Bimalendra Nidhi with black flags at the airport. However, NC leader Nidhi was greeted with black flags outside the airport by UDMF leaders and cadres.
Agitator Pradip Kumar Chaudhary was injured in the clash at Shyam Chowk, said UDMF Dhanusha Coordinator Sanjay Singh. Singh accused the police of being autocratic by suppressing their peaceful agitation. “Police stopped the agitators from all sides and suppressed us,” Singh alleged.

Meanwhile, hundreds of NC cadres and leaders had reached the airport waving party flags to welcome Nidhi.
