BIRGUNJ: The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has continued its demonstrations at the Indo-Nepal border points for the third consecutive day on Saturday.

The Front said that it has decided to block all the major highways and customs points bordering India after the government did not address its demands.

Cadres of the alliance have been staging demonstrations at main border points in Birgunj, Biratnagar and Bhairahawa to pile pressure on the government to address the demands at the earliest.

CPN Maoist Coordinator Matrika Yadav, Nepal Sadhbhawana Party Joint General Secretary Shiva Patel and Sadhbhawana Party central member Nijamuddin Samani among other leaders participated in the demonstrations.

The Front has been staging demonstrations in various districts of Tarai for the past one-and-a-half months protesting the number and boundaries of provinces in the constitution.
