SAPTARI: The irate cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) arson a police post on Monday morning in protest of the killing of three demonstrators in the police action in Saptari district.

According to District Chairperson of Rastriya Samajbadi Party Gajendra Kumar Mandal (Anurag), the unruly protestors put the police post of Koladi Basain-1 of the district on fire this morning,.

Meanwhile, the demonstrators have been staging protest in the district headquarters Rajbiraj as well as other parts of the district since early this morning to protest the killing of the demonstrators.

Likewise, protesters  set ablaze a police motorcycle (Ko 3 Pa 3136) in Bhardaha and vandalised  Gajendra Chok-based Rastirya Banijya Bank (RBB) in Rajbiraj.

District Administration of Saptari has imposed curfew in headquarters Rajbiraj and in the area from Koshi Barrage to Balan rivulet in the west along the East-West Highway for an indefinite period.
