RAUTAHAT: A human chain was formed by the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front along the 42-kilometre road-section from Gaur to Chandranigahapur on Friday.

The demonstration aimed at exerting pressure on the government to fulfill the demands of UDMF.

Locals who took part in the demonstration demanded that the government immediately addressed the issues of Madhes and ended the ongoing agitation.

Thousands of people – including elders and children – from adjoining villages and urban areas took part in the demonstration from 1 pm to 2 pm.
