UDMF cadres vandalise 5 vehicles, including ambulance

BIRATNAGAR: Cadres of the U nited Democratic Madhesi Front vandalised five vehicles including an ambulance for defying agitation, police said. The party is launching protest programmes in Morang district.

The protesters vandalised four trucks on Friday and an ambulance on Thursday night. The ambulance was ferrying a patient when the incident occurred, while the trucks were carrying bamboos.

Meanwhile, police arrested a protester, Ashok Rishidev, for his alleged involvement in the incident.

Similarly, two people, who came on a motorcycle, torched a parked truck laden with betel nuts in Biratnagar on yesterday noon, police said. The arsonists, however, fled the scene leaving the truck slightly damaged, police added.
