BHAKTAPUR: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that his party is not in favour of increasing local bodies to appease Madhes-based parties ahead of the second phase of local polls.

Speaking at a progamme orananised to facilitate the newly elected representatives from Suryabinayak Municipality in Bhaktapur on Monday, main opposition leader Oli said that the number of local units should not be added now.

He also accused the ruling parties of engaging in disputes fearing UML’s victory in the phase of local level election.

On the occasion, UML leaders and winners expressed commitment to work for the cause of people.
