UML leader asks army, cops to join stir

Bhairahawa, April 23:

Central committee member of the CPN-UML Ram Nath Dhakal today called on the army and police to join the agitation for the restoration of democracy. Addressing a mass of over 20,000 people in Bhairahawa today, Dhakal said the people would no more fall into the trap of the King’s sugarcoated words. He said the people are now ready to sacrifice even their lives for the cause of democracy. “The people may raise arms if the repression goes unabated,” he said.

Nepali Congress central member Trailokya Pratap Sen said the monarchy was the main villain of the Nepali people.
