UML leader Nepal urges neighbour to show civilised behaviour
POKHARA: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the people of Nepal were themselves capable to decide about the domestic politics and welfare of the nation.
While addressing a tea reception organised by the CPN-UML Kaski Constituency No-4 on the occasion of the promulgation of new constitution in Pokhara on Thursday, the former Prime Minister criticised the immature and uncivilised behaviour of India that she showed to Nepal after the commencement of new statute.
He assured that no anti-Indian and anti-Chinese activities would be allowed in the country. But no country should try to make Nepal its puppet in return for her support and cooperation, Nepal said.
He further urged the neighbour not to meddle in the domestic affairs hurting the dignity of the people.
The UML leader pointed out the need of unity among the political parties even to take the country on the path of prosperity and development as the transition phase ended with the promulgation of new constitution.
He added that the nation would move ahead as per the accepted governance system soon after the formation of a new government.
Leader Nepal claimed that the new constitution has included the issues of federalism, inclusiveness, social justice and these issues were of the Madhesi people as well.
