HETAUDA, MARCH 18
CPN-UML Secretary Gokarna Bista has said the incumbent government led by CPN-MC Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal wouldn't do good for the country.
Speaking at a press conference organised by Press Chautari Makawanpur in Hetauda today, UML leader Bista argued that the steps taken by PM Dahal to save his post wouldn't do good for the country. "The present government led by CPN-MC Chairperson Dahal is involved in unstable and anarchic activities, which is sure to harm the country," he said. He also predicted that the present coalition wouldn't last long.
"How long would the coalition propped up by a motley of power centres and driven by lust of power, not by the wish to do good for the nation at large, last?" the UML leader asked. "It will lead the country towards instability and a dark future. The prime minister should take responsibility."
On a different note, the former minister also criticised the recent hike in the price of fertilisers. "Instead of providing more incentives to farmers, the Dahal-led government has hiked the price of fertilisers. This clearly shows what this government is up to," he said.
Bista also claimed that his party had started consolidating the party and was considering forming a government on its own in the future.
