The CPN-UML has won the most seats under the proportional representation election system both in the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies.
As per the election results announced by the Election Commission today, UML has won 34 seats in the HoR and 70 seats in provincial assemblies.
Nepali Congress, which stands second in the PR vote count tally, has won 32 seats in the HoR and 64 provincial assembly seats, while the CPN (Maoist Centre) has won 14 seats in the HoR and 29 in provincial assemblies.
Under the PR election system, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has secured 13 seats in the HoR. The party had not fielded any candidate in provincial assembly elections.
The Rastriya Prajtantra Party has won seven PR seats in the HoR and 17 in provincial assemblies.
The Janmat Party and the Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal have won five PR seats each in the HoR.
The Nepal Workers and Peasants Party has won two PR seats in the HoR and the CPN (Unified Socialist) nine.
The Janmat Party and the CPN (US) have won nine PR seats each in provincial assemblies, LSP-N three, the Nepal Sanghiya Samajbadi Party one, the Nagarik Unmukti Party five, the Rastriya Janamorcha one, and the Hamro Nepal Party one.
