Out of seven local levels, CPN-UML has bagged victory in three, whereas Nepali Congress has won one in Chitwan so far.
CPN-UML has won the polls in Madi Municipality, Kalika Municipality, and Ichhakamana Rural Municipality while the NC has won Khairahani Municipality.
Vote counting is under way at Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Ratna Nagar Municipality and Rapti Municipality. The five-party alliance is leading in the three local levels.
CPN-UML candidate Dan Bahadur Gurung won the chair of Ichhakamana Rural Municipality by defeating the NC candidate with a margin of 1,502 votes.
Dan Bahadur got 6,110 votes while the five-party alliance's Gita Kumari received 4,608 votes.
UML candidate Maya Silwal won the vice-chair of the rural municipality with a margin of 300 votes.
Silwal got 5,344 votes while Maoist candidate Pratap Gurung got 5,044 votes.
CPN-UML's Binod Regmi won the mayoral race in Kalika Municipality by defeating the NC's Shivram KC with a margin of 143 votes.
Regmi got 10,714 votes while KC received 10,571 votes.
Likewise, UML candidate Tara Kumari Mahato won the mayor seat of Madi Municipality by defeating Maoist candidate Rishi Kafle with a margin of 2,172 votes.
Mahato got 9,901 votes while Kafle received 7,729 votes.
In Khairehani Municipality, NC's Sashi Kumar Khaniya won the mayoral race.
He defeated UML's Lalmani Chaudhary with a margin of 850 votes. Khaniya got 14,545 votes, while Chaudhary received 13,695 votes.
