GALKOT, MAY 18

Nara Bahadur Pun from Rastriya Janamorcha Party, the common candidate of the five-party alliance, has won the mayoral post in the local level election in Jaimini Municipality of Baglung district. Pun garnered 8,755 votes whereas his closest rival Leela Rana from the CPN-UML got 2,873 votes.

Similarly, Harihar Sharma from the Nepali Congress, the common candidate of the five-party alliance, has been elected as deputy mayor. He bagged 9,173 votes while his closest rival Usha Poudel of the CPN-UML received 2,636 votes.

Bishnu Prasad Acharya from the Nepali Congress has been elected as chair in Ward No 1 and Prem Sapkota in Ward No 2. Likewise, Krishna Bahadur Bhujel from CPN-Maoist Centre has been elected as chair in Ward No 3, Chakra Bahadur Thapa from CPN (Unified Socialist) as chairman in Ward No 4 and Thag Bahadur Chhetri from Nepali Congress as chairman in Ward No 5.

Similarly, Krishna Thapa from the CPN-Maoist Centre has been elected as chair in Ward No 6, Kendra Rasaili from the Nepali Congress in Ward No 7, Bimal Shreesha in Ward No 8, Sandeep Thapa from the UML in Ward No 9 and Shree Prasad Thapa from Rastriya Janamorcha Party in Ward No 10.
