CHITWAN, FEBRUARY 27

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, has expressed confidence that understanding would be forged among the political parties with reinstatement of the dissolved House of Representatives.

Talking to mediapersons here today, he said the parliament would run regularly.

Stating that the government has already recommended to the President to call a session of the parliament, he expressed his conviction that the parliament sessions would take place as before.

"The parliament will run in a regular manner as previously. The political parties will forge understanding through consultations now," he said.

The Speaker said the parliament business would run as in the past after discussing it in the meeting of the House Business Management Committee after the President summons the parliament session.

Speaker Sapkota also said that dispute among the political parties would not affect the parliamentary process. "I will facilitate the running of the House smoothly. The parliamentary process will not stop due to dispute of the political parties."

Answering a question, he said it would not be appropriate to comment now on the topic of appointments to various public bodies made by the government at the time when the parliament stood dissolved as this topic was being debated in the court.
