Unification process to get concrete shape today, says Dahal

Chitwan, February 13

CPN-MC Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said that he would become the country’s prime minister sooner or later.

Inaugurating the 43rd anniversary of Sharadpur Secondary School and the school’s newly constructed building at Sharadpur in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-9, Chitwan today, Dahal claimed that he would hold the prime minister’s post either very soon or some time later.

Dahal claimed that the unification process between the CPN-MC and CPN-UML would take concrete shape by tomorrow.

“The party unity and power sharing between the two forces will be finalised within a day or two,” said Dahal. He, however, stressed that cooperation among the big three forces was a must for development and prosperity of the country.

Dahal claimed that then comprehensive peace accord had played a crucial role in ushering substantial transformation of the country. “This peace agreement was able to draw the attention of the entire world. The peace process and the resulting change was possible only because of the peace accord, adjustment of the rebel army and trust among leaders,” said Dahal.

The programme was chaired by the School Management Committee Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Kandel. Provincial Assembly lawmakers Krishna Prasad Bhurtel and Milan Babu Shrestha also spoke on the occasion.
