Rajbiraj, July 29:

Minister for Industries, Commerce and Supply, Hridayesh Tripathi today said that all the democratic forces should unite to foil conspiracies against the process for a constituent assembly.

Speaking at a press meet organised at the Saptari Sewa Ashram, Rajbiraj, today Tripathi said, “Regressive forces are active for foiling the way to a constituent assembly, and if they succeed in their bid Nepal will get trapped.’

Asked about the ongoing conflict between the Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) and Maoists in Siraha and Saptari, Tripathi said that the government would address the problem of the JTMM. Stating that the government was serious about the issues raised by the JTMM, Tripathi said that informal talks are going on for a lasting solution to the conflict between JTMM and Maoists.

Two days earlier, the coordinator of the central ad hoc committee of JTMM, Jay Krishna Goit in a press conference had said that JTMM was ready to go for dialogue if the government were to call for it.

Tripathi claimed that petty differences between the government and Maoists would not affect the ongoing dialogue.

Tripathi is also the general secretary of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandidevi).
