Upgradation of road linking Ghorepani begins in Myagdi

MYAGDI: The upgradation of road linking Myagdi district’s tourism site, Ghorepani has begun at the cost of around Rs 280 million.

The National Reconstruction Authority’s central project implementation unit has started upgrading 18 kilometres and 540 metres of road from Pokharebagar to settlement nearby Ghorepani through Ghar Khiwang Sikh.

The project in-charge Shivaram Gelal said that the narrow dirt road would be widened, covered with gravel and concreted while gabion walls and hume pipe culverts would also be constructed at various places. Also, 3.75 kilometres of the road would be tarmacked.

Shree Motidan/Jayamata JV has signed a contract at the cost of Rs 279,135,220 for the construction project estimated to be worth around Rs 366,958,010.
