Upper House session adjourned for half an hour
KATHMANDU: Following the obstruction from Nepali Congress lawmakers in the proceedings of National Assembly (NA) today, NA Chair Ganesh Timilsena has adjourned the session for 30 minutes.
The adjournment was announced for 15 minutes as the main opposition, NC lawmakers obstructed the House by standing and not responding. As the meeting resumed, the opposition lawmakers picketed the NA chair and began chanting anti-government slogans. Subsequently, the NA Chair adjourned the session for another 15 minutes.
The NC lawmakers have made this move to protest the ruling party's act of forcibly getting the National Medical Education Bill endorsed from parliament.
