ITAHARI: Multiple ethnic groups on Tuesday called a bandh in Terai and eastern region demanding that the issue of the President be raised in the House.

The bandh called by United Tharuhat Struggling Committee, United Limbuwan Rajya Parisad Revolutionary, indigenous, ethnic, Dalit Janatantrik Morcha and Khumbuwan affected the daily schedule of the locals.

Due to the bandh transportation, market and industries have been closed in Terai and eastern region.

According to Kishor Biswas of United Tharuhat Struggling Committee, they had also called the bandh to pressurise the government to implement the agreement they had made in March/April.
