Vehicles to run during strikes
Kathmandu, January 22:
The newly registered Transport Entrepreneurs Federation Nepal (TEFN) today said the federation has decided to defy all the bandhs and strikes.
While submitting a request letter to the state minister for Labour and Transport Management Rabindra Khanal at his office today, TEFN first vice president Hari Narayan Shahi said the meeting of the federation held on January 13 has decided to defy all strikes organised by any parties. He also requested the government to provide security during the strikes.
He also said that the federation has decided to set up a welfare fund to compensate the vehicle owners if any untoward incident happened to their vehicles during such strikes.
Speaking at the function state minister Khanal said he would coordinate with the Home Ministry for providing necessary security to the vehicles.
