Vehicular movement along the Diktel-Halesi road section resumed in Khotang today. The road was obstructed for the past 14 hours due to landslides.

Transport service was halted at Nagi of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality after landslides disrupted the road in different places last evening. Mayor Iwan Rai of the municipality said the road was cleared using JCB with the initiative of the municipality. “Two JCBs were used to clear landslides and transportation had resumed from the morning today.”

Local Dilip Rai said debris was being cleared and one-way traffic had opened. Locals are facing problems after rainfall damaged the entire rural road. Diktel-Bakshila, Diktel-Aiselukharka, Diktel-Pathika, Diktel-Mattim-Panchami, Diktel-Regmitar-Rasuwa road sections were obstructed just before the festivals.
