Vice-President Pun returns home
KATHMANDU: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has returned home today after taking part in the 17th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit that was held in Venezuela on September 17 and 18.
The Vice President had departed for Margarita Island of Venezuela on September 16 in course of attending the NAM Summit.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Deputy Prime Ministers Bimlendra Nidhi and Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Minister for Youth and Sports Daljit Shreepaili, Agricultural Minister Gauri Shankar Chaudhary, chiefs of securities bodies, Chief Secretary and government senior officers were at Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome the Vice President. On the occasion, a contingent of Nepal Army presented a guard of honour to the Vice President.
The Vice President addressed the Summit and also attended a reception hosted by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on the sidelines of the Summit in honour of the Heads of State/ Government of the NAM member states.
