Victim seeks compensation

Ilam, August 30 :

Saying he became handicapped after he was shot in the knee by army on August 30, 2004, Dil Bahadur Lingden, of Larumba, today called on the government to compensate him.

He asked rights activists, parties and media to advocate his cause. He accused the forces of keeping him in a jail at Chandragadhi for 22 months on the charge of being involved in Maoist activities and meting out torture.
