Khotang: Relatives of those killed in the Khotang bus accident chartered helicopters and brought the bodies back to home from the district health post after post-mortem.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bidyananda Majhi, the families of the deceased far from the district headquarters, Diktel, and had no access to road network and they were forced to charter the helicopters to take the deceaded to homes after the post-mortem.

Narayan Rai of Bakachol had rented the helicopter at Rs 160,000. His sister was killed in the accident.

Similarly, Dhak Bahadur Rai of Tamplichha of Udayapur chartered helicopter to bring bodies of wife Shanta Kumari Rai and son Om Shree Rai to his home.
