KATHMANDU: Vocational and technical education have been stressed for the country's development and prosperity.

At a programme organised by Youth Students' Agitation Committee on Thursday, participating speakers called for linking the present education system to production.

According to Educationist Bidyanath Koirala, education has been stipulated as one of the fundamental rights in the constitution, hence, it must be made affordable and accessible to all.

Education Ministry's Joint Secretary Hari Adhikari underlined the government's huge investment in education sector, but lamented the lack of results.
