Vote counting resumes in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolis
KATHMANDU: The counting of votes in Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan City has resumed after an all party meeting held at the Metropolis Training Centre reached an agreement regarding the same.
The vote counting was halted on Saturday after vote stamp was found to be bigger in ballot papers that had voted for the CPN-UML.
The officials are counting the votes of ward number 16, 18, 19 and 20 while the votes counting of ward number 17 is still halted following the dispute over the size of the stamp.
A total of 126,000 votes were cast in the metropolis. Of the 33 wards of the metropolitan city, counting in Wards No 1 to 15 was completed until Saturday.
The CPN-UML has been leading in the vote counting process of the metropolis followed by the Nepali Congress till today.
