Chitwan, January 12

Police arrested a person with illegal drugs and weapons from Pulchowk of Narayangadh, Chitwan on Monday night.

The arrested has been identified as Ram Sedain, 25, of Bhandara VDC of the district. A police team deployed from District Police Office, Chitwan also seized two pistols, four rounds of bullets and some drugs from the arrested.

This is not Sedain’s first arrest or conviction. Earlier, Sedain was released from Jhumka Prison, Sunsari, nine months ago after completing six years of jail term and also posting a bail amount Rs 166,000.

Police had arrested Sedain after he stole gold jewellery from a house belonging to Padam Maya Gurung of Kabilash VDC in Chitwan district, on June 10, 2009.
