Whoever wins is working for Maoist agendas: Dahal

CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘today said that Maoist agendas have prevailed despite the victory of candidates of the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML and others in the local level elections.
Addressing a programme at his residence today to welcome the leaders of different political parties in the Maoist Centre, Dahal said, “I am very happy as the country has won. Maoist ideology, politics and agenda have prevailed through our party though we could not win as many seats as per our expectations in the first and second phase of local level elections.”
The former prime minister also asked party leaders and activists to create environment conducive to work for the cause of people, adding that the elected representatives should work as per the Maoist agendas, whoever has won the first and second phase local level polls.
On the occasion, Dahal said that all Maoists should come together and take the nation’s leadership.
He hoped that Baburam Bhattarai would also join the Maoist party soon.
“There is no alternative but to form a single party for the leaders of Maoist schooling. The changes can be institutionalised only if all Maoists unite,” he added.
During the programme, 50 leaders and cadres from different political parties, including former lawmaker and Naya Shakti Nepal leader Shiva Chandra Kushawaha joined the Maoist Centre.
UML leader of Rautahat Gauri Shankar Jayaswal, Secretary of Communist Party of Nepal Rautahat Nandalal Thakur and others joined the Maoist Centre.
Also speaking at the programme, former lawmaker Kushawaha said that he returned home for the love of Marxism, revolutionary principles and responsibility towards the people.
