"Wider participation mandatory for eradication of illiteracy"
BARDIBAS: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel said that the government’s lone efforts would not be enough in eliminating illiteracy from the country.
At a meet with Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders and cadres at Gauridanda in Bardibas Municipality-3 today, he called for all sections of the society to get involved in addressing such social limitations.
He stressed that endorsement of the Education Bill should be taken as an achievement, and cooperation from all tiers of government, political parties, social sector and the general public could only wipe out illiteracy from the country.
“All 15 bills related to the implementation of fundamental rights have been endorsed from the parliament and authenticated as stipulated by the Constitution. This is a great achievement for the new government," he added.
