LAMJUNG: A minor died and four others of a family are taken ill after consuming toxic mushroom in Lamjung on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sangita Thapa (11) of Ramgha in Madhyanepal Municipality-5.

Five  members of the Thapa family on Monday evening had consumed curry, which was prepared with wild mushroom collected from a nearby jungle.

After discovering that all of them were taken ill, neighbours rushed them to Pokhara for treatment.

The girl passed away today while undergoing treatment at Gandaki Hospital in Pokhara. Other persons returned home after treatment, according to police.
