KATHMANDU: Makawanpur Police on Thursday arrested a person for possessing five kilograms of hashish from the bus-park of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-10 in the district.

The arrestee has been identified as Gita Rai (24) of Paterwa Sugauli Rural Municipality-1 in the district.

A team of police deployed from District Police Office, Makawanpur had stopped Rai for security checking after finding her behaviour suspicious. Police detained her after finding the drugs in her possession.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
