Woman dies of lack of cure in curfew hours
Dhading, March 26:
One Goma Pariyar (21), a woman in labour, died as she could not get proper treatment on time due to curfew last night.
Goma, a resident of Nalang VDC-8, Kumaltar of Dhading, died after giving birth to a child. “When she suffered from labour pain in the nignt, we could not take her to the hospital due to curfew,” said Dayaram, her husband.
After giving birth to the baby, she fell unconscious.
Locals had taken her to the Dhading district hospital this morning but the doctors declared her as dead.
Curfew is in place in Dhadingbesi, the district headquarters, and surrounding areas from 8 pm to 4 am daily for the past five years.
