KANCHANPUR: A pieced of land has been donated to a higher school by a woman in Punarbas Municipality-13 in Kanchanpur district.

At a religious function on Friday, Khimadevi Sharma (50) of the locality donated one kattha of land to Sarswoti Higgher Secondary School.

According to Bir Bahadur Thapa, coordinator of the festival oranaising committee, Sharma donated the land in memory of her husband Pushkar Sharma and son Hemraj Sharma on the occassion of the Punarbas Religious and Educational Festival being orangised from Tuesday.

Khimadevi's had donated the land for the eternal peace of the departed soul of her husband and son, who were killed during the decade-long insurgency
