MAHOTTARI: An unidentified woman in her mid-30s died on the spot in a road accident in Bardibas in Mahottari on Thursday morning.

The accident took place when a vehicle hit the mentally-ill woman at Banke jungle in Bardibas Municipality-11 in the district, according to the Area Police Office, Bardibas.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shaligram Sharma, said that the registration number of the vehicle was not known and a search for the vehicle was underway.

Preparation was underway to send the body to Jaleshwor for the postmortem, added Sharma.
