Woman severely hurt as NC, CPN MC cadres clash in Rukum

RUKUM: A woman was severely injured in a clash that broke out between cadres of Nepali Congress and CPN Maoist Center in Rukum in the late evening on Thursday.

The injured has been identified as Kalpana Budha, spouse of Sanibheri Rural Municipality- 7 ward chair Kul Bahadur Budha,

The scuffle took place after the CPN Maoist cadres allegedly threw rocks at a vehicle carrying NC cadres who were heading to home after attending the party election assembly at Musikot.

Initially, Budha was rushed to the Chaurjahari Hospital from where she was referred to Nepalgunj, as stated by her husband.

Following the scuffle, police have taken four people under control for their alleged involvement in triggering the incident, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendra Dhamala at the District Police Office, Rukum.
