Workers shut industry over dispute
HETAUDA; Workers aligned to the All Nepal Industries Workers’ Union, Super Lamicoat unit shut the Super Lamicoat Industry in Hetauda Industrial Area following a dispute with the management.
The industry has been shut for two days due to the dispute regarding change in shifts of the workers.
Super Lamicoat Industry produces plastic packets for the products of Uniliver Limited, Makwana Biscuits and Mahashakti soap including others.
The workers’ union aligned to the main opposition Unified CPN-Maoist shut the industry after the administration changed the shifts of the workers instead of taking action against supervisor Paras Acharya who had abused the workers verbally.
Meanwhile, Krishnaraj Koirala, Member, Federation of All Nepal Trade Union secretariat said that the workers shut the industry unilaterally demanding resignation of industry manager BK Boss.
However, manager BK Boss claimed that the management changed the shift as a regular routine. There are 70 workers in the industry.
