Itahari, September 19:

A shop worker, Yagya Dhakal, was injured in a clash between agitating shop workers and traders in Itahari today. The Itahari Area Police Office has arrested the injured shop worker Yagya Dhakal.

Shop workers are on an agitation since yesterday to protest the decision of the Itahari Chamber of Commerce and Industries to reopen the Bihibare Bazaar.

Traders clashed with shop workers after the latter started closing shops in the Itahari Chowk in the morning.

During talks held in the Itahari Chambers of Commerce and Industry today, traders had agreed to meet genuine demands of the agitators, ICCI, chairman Tank Dulal said.

The agitating workers have withdrawn all protest programmes.
