Yadav stranded at TIA for five hours on way to NY
Kathmandu, September 24:
Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav had to wait for five hours at the Tribhuvan International Airport before he left for New York today to attend the 63rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Thai Airways, which was scheduled to land at TIA and fly from here at 2.20 pm, could not land on time due to bad weather and had to land in Kolkata, delaying the Minister’s schedule by five hours.
On the way to New York, Yadav will make a stopover in Copenhagen to inaugurate the Nepali embassy there. Yadav, in addition to attending other meetings of the General Assembly, will participate in the informal meeting of the SAARC Council of Minister on the sidelines of the general assembly on September 29. He is scheduled to return on October 11 via Korea.
