KATHMANDU: Stressing the need to adopt the new constitution on time, delegation of the Young Communist League (YCL), the youth wing of the main opposition, Unified CPN-Maoist, on Friday handed over a memorandum to Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman

YCL chairman Ganeshman Pun led the delegation and handed over the memorandum to CA Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang at his chamber along with signatures of around three lakh people from across the country.

The YCL memorandum said that regressive forces were raising their ugly head to derail the peace and constitution-making processes.

YCL also condemned statements issued recently by ex-king Gyanendra and former prime minister K P Bhattarai against the will of the people.
