A yoga treatment centre is going to be set up in Banepa soon to promote maximum use of ayurvedic herbs and treat patients through yoga.

Equipped with yagyashala, gaushala, herbs garden and herb processing centre, the treatment centre will be constructed with the financial assistance of Patanjali Yoga Camp in India’s Haridwar and local donations, said chairperson of the committee formed to build the centre Hema Dhungana.

At a press conference organised here yesterday, she said that out of the required 700 ropanis of land to build the centre, 500 ropanis had already been purchased and process to buy 200 ropanis was underway.

It is learnt that the standard of the yoga treatment centre will be on par with that of Patanjali Yoga Camp in India.

A central women’s committee led by Dhungana and panels in 63 districts have been formed to expedite the establishment process.

The district committees would produce yoga trainers at the local level, she said.
