KATHMANDU: Makawanpur police on Tuesday night arrested a person on the charge of possessing controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-10.

Police arrested Farruk Miya Ansari (35) of Bara district, currently residing in Sworgalok of Hetauda-1 from the bus (Province 3-001 Kha 0118) he was travelling on after finding 300 tablets of Nitrovet and a 100 ml bottle of Wanrex from his possession.

The bus was en route to Birgunj from Hetauda when a team of police deployed from Buspark-based Police Post stopped it for security checking near buspark.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
