GAIGHAT: Police arrested a person for possessing illegal pharmaceutical drugs in Udayapur, on Wednesday.

According to police, the arrestee has been identified as Susan Rai (21) of Gaighat Bazaar of the district.

Acting on a special tip-off, a special team of police arrested Rai and seized 27 ampoules each of Diazepam, Phenergan and Lupiesis from him, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bed Prasad Gautam.

Rai is also said to be the drug abuser himself. He had been in and out of prison on drug charges.
