BHOJPUR: A youth was attacked with a sharp object at Syabun VDC of Sankhuwasabha district on Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Man Kumar Rai of Syabun-8, informed the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar.

Rai was walking back home from a local fair at around 12 am when 33-year-old Purna Kumar Rai attacked him with a khukuri from behind, police said.

Injured Rai is being treated at the District Hospital, Sankhuwasabha, for his injuries.

Police said they have arrested Purna Rai.
