DHANGADI: A youth was found dead at Mahakali Irrigation canal in Bedkot of Kanchanpur district on Thursday morning.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dinesh Acharya at Kanchanpur District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as Santosh Panta (21), a local resident of Krishnapur in the district. Panta has been living in Mahendranagar for his studies, informed SP Acharya.

A motorcycle was also found along the bank of the canal at Sisaya, Bedkot Municipality-10.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
