LAMGUNJ: A youth who was reportedly missing in the Marsyangdi River since Thursday was found dead near Phulbari in Bhoteodar under a suspension bridge, in Lamjung district on Saturday.

According to Inspector Hemanta Thapa, In-charge of Bhoteodar Area Police Office, the deceased was identified as Indra Bahadur Tamang (32) of Nuwakot, currently residing in Belghari, Bharte-2 in the district.

Tamang along with other five friends, who had gone to the River with the intention of electrocuting fish, was swept away after he slipped into water from Ghumaune of Sundar Bazaar Municipality-2 at around 11 am on Thursday, police said.
